Road Ban Order #127 was put in place on May 3, 2024. This replaces Order #126 from May 1. The new order extends the ban details to additional roads located in Yellowhead County. Click the link below for details.

Construction commenced at 8:00 am today on Yellowhead County’s Broadband expansion project.
Construction vehicles will have 3CIS cresting on their trucks so that residents can identify employees.
Residents will be asked if they wish to have conduit, fibre or wireless node, brought to their homes. Employees will have company identification.
Please be advised that there is no charge to the residents to have the conduit, fibre or wireless node brought into their property and connected to the exterior of their homes.
Federal & Provincial Broadband Funding
Yellowhead County has been chosen as one of 14 projects in Alberta to receive federal and provincial funding to create better internet connectivity and improved internet speeds for our residents. View full video presentation from Mayor Williams.
2023 Disaster After Action Report
The Yellowhead County 2023 Disaster After Action Report was presented at the March 6, 2024 Special Council Meeting. The full report is available to the public and the presentation to council can be viewed until Friday March 8, 2024 at 4:00 PM.
Community & Contractor Equipment List
Yellowhead County is looking for residents and contractors who have equipment and are interested in working with Yellowhead County to assist in wildland firefighting efforts.
Changes to Animal Drop-Off at Edson Pound
The Edson Pound is no longer accepting drop-offs of dogs or cats found in Yellowhead County by members of the public. County Peace Officers will still be taking dogs to the pound.
The power lines and poles in your area, including a section crossing Solomon Creek, are scheduled for maintenance. Construction will take place between April 15 – June 28, 2024. See link for locations.
